More About Being A Trustee
The Park is proud to be a registered charity and a limited company, governed by a dedicated Board of Trustees. Our Trustees play a vital role in ensuring that The Centre operates smoothly and effectively, adhering to legal requirements and best practices at all times. Their commitment helps us maintain a high standard of service and support for our community. Together, we strive to create a positive impact and foster a welcoming environment for all.
What do Our Trustees Do?
Our Trustees are volunteers and work tirelessly to ensure that The Centre is well-managed, compliant with the law, and focused on our mission. Through regular meetings, the Trustees provide leadership and direction, ensuring we continually improve and serve our community effectively.
-
Delivering ambition, purpose and vision about the future of The Park Centre
-
Understanding, scrutinising, reporting on and being accountable for how we are doing each year, learning from our experience and continually improving
-
Leading our finances and fund raising programmes to ensure money is used wisely, is clearly accounted for and in line with charity and company law
-
Determining the policy framework that enables The Park to be a safe, well managed and welcoming organisation, service provider, employer, building owner and landlord
-
Being a good employer and support the Park Centre Directors in particular, and all our staff, in the day to day operational work to run The Park and its services
-
Building our work and profile with key stakeholders to help people understand what we do, contribute to the local community and across Bristol as a leading centre of its kind including the City Council, Police, funders, local community, community stakeholders and residents
Our Trustees all bring a high level of experience, knowledge, skills and wisdom to their roles – but what they most have in common is a huge commitment to The Park Centre growing, thriving and making a difference to local people and its service users.
